
Are you curious about what’s happening with San Diego homes right now? I’ve been looking at the newest numbers for June 2026, and the market is moving fast. If you aren’t a real estate pro, these numbers can feel confusing, so I’ve broken down the most important parts for you.
Here is what you need to know:
● More homes are selling: Last month (May), a total of 2,125 homes were sold. This is just a tiny bit higher (0.2%) than last year. This shows me that people are still very active and want to live here.
● South San Diego is booming: While the whole county is busy, the southern part of San Diego is growing the fastest. Sales there jumped up by more than 10%.
● Home prices are up: The median price—which is just the middle price point of all homes sold—is now $915,000. That is a 1.6% increase from last year.
● Homes sell in about a month: On average, it takes 28 days for a home to go from “for sale” to “sold.”
● Fewer homes to choose from: The inventory is down by about 29%. Because there aren’t many homes for sale, there is a lot of competition
● Sellers are getting what they ask for: Most sellers are getting about 98.6% of their original asking price. This means if you are buying, you usually need to offer close to the full price.

2. You can get almost your full asking price. On average, sellers are getting 98.6% of the price they ask for.
3. Your home will sell quickly. Most homes in San Diego are finding a buyer in about 28 days.
