Real Estate Market Update (June)

As reported by the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the real estate market is busiest from April to June, with sales peaking in June. During this time, an average of 16,530 existing homes are sold each day, along with 2,000 new homes. Homes also sell faster, with the median time on the market dropping to 31 days in June. Sellers can ask for higher prices, but buyers face more competition and bidding wars for desirable properties. The data also shows that new home sales are less affected by seasonal changes, making the market more stable throughout the year.

This month, the real estate market leans towards being a seller’s advantage, as homes tend to sell faster and at higher prices compared to other months. With increased competition and bidding wars for desirable properties, buyers may face more challenges in securing their ideal homes during this peak buying season.
