If you’re in a situation where you need to sell your home before you can buy, there are two things you can do. One, you can sell your home and get few months rent back from the buyer. You can even ask for two months free rent back, depending on your market. And that gives you around three months to look for your new home. If that doesn’t sit well with you, there’s another option. You can sell your home contingent upon finding a new home. The buyer has to agree that if you don’t find your new home within certain time frame, the deal is off. Keep in mind there are going to be fewer buyers that will agree to this. But in a market with a low inventory, this is a smart move. If you’re not sure which options will be best for you, feel free to give me a call. I’ll guide you through it.
