Our relationship with Shirin is a story and here’s how it unfolded much like how everybody has their own unique story about their favorite realtor.
Shirin was referred to us by a friend who she helped in a purchase transaction. Not knowing any other trust worthy realtor I went with the recommendation and we are lucky that we stuck with her. As I write this review I have known her since Feb 2022 when she promptly initiated an introductory email within a day of asking for her contact. It took us well over a year to find an upgrade and she stuck with us patiently. We did have a cordial “break-up” in the middle when we changed agents to those offering lucrative cash offers to standout in the heated-up competition but that didn’t materialize. Despite that she was cool with us coming back to her. She took us in with open arms.
In a span of over 1 year I have tried several agents from Flyhomes and RedFin and none of them matched the personalized attention to client’s needs that Shirin offers. She understood my constraints and requirements better than others and did not suggest every other home that was out in market that did not meet our criteria. It also helped that she is a Carmel Valley resident herself and is well versed with every community’s offering and floor plans.
She stretched herself by going the extra mile to find an off market listing. At one point she sent out targeted letters to owners in a townhome community requesting an off market sale but that didn’t bear fruition. However, I sincerely appreciated all the effort that went into it. No kidding. There aren’t many realtors who do that because its a lot of effort with chances of success being poor. But she tried nevertheless.
She is dedicated, focused and persistent in ensuring customer needs are met. We would pour through details of every document related to the offer with meetings extending over 2 hours because I always had questions and tons of them. At the end of the day she is a working Mother and some how managed to accommodate my needs. I felt treated like a VVIP and those feelings leave ever lasting postive impressions about Shirin.
In the end, Shirin helped us purchased a single family twinhome in 92130. It was a very smooth transaction from offer to escrow closure and I must thank Shirin for also referring us to her preferred loan officer. And she was right. Unlike my previous purchase this purchase was ultra smooth . I received good rates (lowest in this high interest environment). They closed on time and overcame hiccups along the way with zero closing costs!
We were not her first clients to see the house that we purchased because we were out of country when it was listed. However, she knew our tastes and budget and suggested/advised that we consider its potential despite it not being move-in ready. It needed some work and I was apprehensive about moving forward.
After we expressed interest in the house she negotiated very hard for us and won the offer. She kept us on track from offer acceptance to closure guiding us through various deadlines and coordinating with escrow. The celebration after keys hand over was special and we will always cherish the extra touch.

She has been exceptional in her responsiveness, patience, dedication and commitment throughout the buying process. Whenever we see a property we’re interested it, she will quickly scope it out for us and also arrange for virtual tours (via Zoom, Whatsapp) so that we’re able to see it for ourselves too.
Occasionally when we were in town, she would even block off her schedule and dedicate 2-3 days to personally take us through a lot of home viewings so that she could learn more about the things we liked and didn’t like.
We trust her knowledge and experience in the local area, as well as her instinct and judgement in knowing our needs and taste for the kind of property we like, and giving her honest feedback on it (whether it be positive or negative).
Recently we were able to close on a property after many months (thank God!), and during the inspection period, she tirelessly coordinated with all the relevant vendors for inspections and contractor quotes. On top of that, she was always on-site to make sure inspections were done properly, videos/photos were taken and shared with us.
You can leverage Shirin’s expansive network of vendors who can help you with almost anything you need for your property. She even referred us a lender who have been exceptional throughout the underwriting process.
To sum it up, I’m not sure if you’ll ever come across someone who will give you her 110% consistently over a 9 month period and help you get the home that you’re going to be happy with. Get Shirin Ramos on your team – you won’t regret it!
