The Crosby Estate is a guard-gated, master-planned golf community in Rancho Santa Fe. The neighborhood sits on land once owned by the Crosby family, and its streets carry the names of songs and films made famous by Bing Crosby — among them Top O the Morning Way, Road to Zanzibar, San Antonio Rose Court, Lamour Lane, Pale Moon, Riding High Way, and The Crosby Way. Development began in the early 2000s under original developer Starwood Development, with custom homesites continuing to build out in the years since. The community totals roughly 443 residences, split across 3 home types: about 70 attached villas, around 281 semi-custom single-family homes, and about 70 fully custom estate homesites. Homes are designed in a Spanish Colonial style, with red tile roofs and stucco exteriors set against golf course, hillside, and open-space views. Homes range from roughly 2,900-9,400+ square feet with 2-7 bedrooms, and lot sizes span from villa-scale lots up to about 1.2 acres for the larger custom estates.
Residents have access to The Crosby Club, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Fred Couples, along with a roughly 30,000 square-foot clubhouse, a Swim/Tennis Athletic Club with two pools, tennis and pickleball courts, a fitness center, and a driving range; on-site dining options include Grill 19, the Clubhouse Grille, the Poolside Grille, and the “Going My Way” Grille. For everyday shopping and dining, the Italian-villa-style piazza at Cielo Village is just minutes away, and the boutiques and restaurants of the historic Village of Rancho Santa Fe are about 2 miles to the west. The Crosby sits roughly midway between I-5 and I-15, about 5 miles from each, with the beaches of Del Mar and Solana Beach around a 15-20 minute drive. Students in The Crosby attend Solana Santa Fe Elementary, Earl Warren Middle School, and Torrey Pines High School, all part of the San Dieguito Union High School District, with Canyon Crest Academy available as an alternative option.
The community is governed by The Crosby Estate at Rancho Santa Fe Master Association, with sub-associations such as The Crosby Villas HOA covering specific product types. Monthly HOA dues start at around $450. Homes here ranges from about $2.3M-$6M+.
