Rancho Santa Fe Farms is a guard-gated, custom-home community in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe, built around The Farms Golf Club (also referred to as the Rancho Santa Fe Farms Golf Club), the private 18-hole course originally designed by Pete and Perry Dye in 1988 and remodeled in 2000 by architect John Fought and PGA Tour professional Tom Lehman. The neighborhood is located east of Rancho Diegueno Road, south of San Dieguito Road, and west of Camino Del Sur, with residences along Rancho Santa Fe Farms Road, Rancho Santa Fe Farms Drive, Muirfield Way, and St. Andrews Road, as well as the gated Spyglass Estates enclave along Spyglass Lane. The community is made up of roughly 90-100 custom and semi-custom homes built primarily in the 1980s and 1990s by a variety of individual builders. Architectural styles include Mediterranean, Spanish Contemporary, and California Contemporary, in both single and 2-story layouts, with current homes ranging from about 3,600-11,000+ square feet, 3-8+ bedrooms, and lot sizes running from roughly 3 quarters of an acre up to 4+ acres for the larger estate and view parcels. Some homes enjoy golf course, lake, and/or Pacific Ocean views.
As a golf course community, residents live along the fairways of The Farms Golf Club, and many homes offer proximity (and in some cases membership-based access) to nearby Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa, known for its tennis facilities, spa, and acclaimed Pony Room restaurant. Everyday shopping and dining are a short drive away at The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch, while the boutiques, cafes, and restaurants of Rancho Santa Fe Village and Del Rayo Village. Along with the historic Rancho Santa Fe Inn are also nearby. The beaches of Del Mar and Solana Beach are less than 9 miles from Rancho Santa Fe Farms, and residents have convenient access to Via de la Valle, El Camino Real, and Highway 56 for reaching Interstate 5. Students in Rancho Santa Fe Farms are served by the Solana Beach School District, which includes Solana Santa Fe Elementary, and the San Dieguito Union High School District, which includes Earl Warren Middle School and Torrey Pines High School.
Rancho Santa Fe Farms is governed by the RSF Farms Homeowners Association, with a monthly dues in the neighborhood of $800-$900 that reportedly cover guard-gated security, common-area maintenance, and golf course–adjacent amenities. Homes in Rancho Santa Fe Farms are priced from approximately $3.3M-$9.5M or more for the largest custom estates.
