Via Del Charro is a residential equestrian community set along its namesake street, Via Del Charro, in the West Covenant area of Rancho Santa Fe. Situated just south of The Bridges and north of Rancho La Cima, with Aliso Canyon Road and Pacifica Ranch Drive bordering the neighborhood. The community is made up of roughly 33 one and two-story custom homes, most originally built in the 1970s and 1980s, alongside a number of more recently constructed and extensively remodeled estates. Architectural styles vary from Spanish Colonial and Mediterranean to Contemporary Ranch, each reflecting its own owner’s vision. Homes typically offer 3-7 bedrooms across approximately 2,900-12,000 square feet, situated on generously sized lots that can extend up to 5 acres, with many properties zoned for horses.
Via Del Charro’s West Covenant location places residents close to the boutique shops, restaurants, and galleries of Rancho Santa Fe Village, as well as The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, all just a short drive away. The neighborhood also offers direct access to the area’s over 60 miles of horse and hiking trails via the nearby Coyote Canyon trailhead. Del Mar’s beaches, the Del Mar Racetrack and Fairgrounds, and I-5 are all easily reachable, providing convenient coastal access and commuting routes throughout San Diego. Families in the community are served by the highly regarded Rancho Santa Fe School District and the San Dieguito Union High School District, which includes Torrey Pines High School, Canyon Crest Academy, and San Dieguito High School Academy.
Home values in Via Del Charro generally range from about $3M-$12M or more, depending on lot size, square footage, and level of renovation.
